Oι Master of Wine στον αμπελώνα της Αττικής
Μετά την πρώτη ημέρα των Master of Wine στην Αθήνα (Οι Master of Wine στην Ελλάδα: Αθήνα Μέρα Πρώτη) ακολούθησε ένα πρόγραμμα δύο ακόμα ημερών στην πρωτεύουσα όπου οι 18 MWs συμμετείχαν σε ένα πλήθος δραστηριοτήτων. Αυτές περιλάμβαναν και πολιτιστικές επισκέψεις όπως η ξενάγηση στην Ακρόπολη αλλά και γευσιγνωσίες άλλων προϊόντων σαν το μέλι (εσείς ξέρατε ότι η βασίλισσα στην παρθενική της πτήση ζευγαρώνει με μάξιμουμ 15 κηφήνες σε μόλις 5 εώς 30 λεπτά;).
Στο καθαρά οινικό κομμάτι στην Αττική επισκεφθήκαμε τη Σταμάτα και το Κτήμα Κοκκοτού. Η Σταμάτα είναι ένα πολύ διαφορετικό terroir για το Σαββατιανό με μεγαλύτερο υψόμετρο (420 μέτρα) συγκριτικά με τα Μεσόγεια (έως 100 μέτρα). Εκεί υπάρχουν περίπου 300 στρέμματα παλαιών κλημάτων Σαββατιανού σύμφωνα με την Άννα Κοκοτού που ωριμάζει αργότερα από αυτό των Μεσογείων λόγω του ψυχρότερου κλίματος.
