(“ Tortoise Nest ” sub-region, Amyndeon plateau, 2,93 ha of prephylloxera bush vines planted in 1919-1920. Sandy – sandy clay soil over limestone of excellent drainage, 21,47 hl/ha, post to green harvest & selection. 24 months in Allier oak casks and 12 months minimum in bottle.  No treatment or filtration before bottling. 13,5% abv, TA 6.6, pH 3.33) Very complex nose, smoky with tar, spices and crunchy red fruit. Medium bodied this shows power and elegance on the palate with bright acidity that carries the fruit's intensity. A standout.
