Domaine Vassiliou Savatiano Dokimes 1997

This is holding impressively well given its age and is a proof of the aging capability of the Savatiano grape. Still youthful colour. Complex nose of sage, undergrowth, ripe pear, honey and dried apricot with a nutty and toasty element that reminds me of Semillon. Medium full bodied with balancing acidity and long finish. A pleasant surprise. Fully mature.
