From 60-year-old pre-phylloxera vines, in the area of Soularoi, Paliki in Cephalonia, a dry Mavrodaphne of excellent concentration is produced, placing the variety on the top. Purple colour with dense black fruit, bacon and smoke on the nose. Full throttled and rich on the palate with high intensity and long finish indicating that Mavrodaphne is capable of greatness.
