*BREAKING NEWS* Ktima Biblia Chora is investing in Naoussa

Following Santorini, Goumenissa and Peloponnese, Vangelis Gerovassiliou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis, the duo behind Ktima Biblia Chora in Kavala, Macedonia, are spreading their wings to include one more Xinomavro zone to their portfolio by buying a part of Christos Taralas vineyard in Naoussa.
"We recently acquired the vineyards of Christos Taralas in Polla Nera, Naoussa," says Vangelis Gerovassiliou. "We will have to work the vineyard for about two to three years to bring it up to the standards we set", he continues, "but it is a beautiful 7.5 hectare-vineyard in one of the highest points of Naoussa at 250 m elevation and is already certified organic".
Their new acquisition will be added to Ktima Biblia Chora (800.000 bottles) and the smaller ventures of Mikra Thira, Mikro Ktima Titos, and Dyo Ipsi, which are at approximately 20.000 bottles each. Vangelis states he is delighted by this model, contributing to fascinating single-vineyard wines.
We will have to wait and see whether establishing a winery in the area and producing a Naoussa PDO wine is included in their plans and whether Nemea or Crete will be their following destination.
