A major share of Domaine Sigalas is sold. (Breaking News)

On the eve of 2020, exciting news regarding Sigalas Estate has come to light. A major share of the respected Santorini winery has been sold to shipowner Thanasis Martinos for a figure that has not been revealed. As Paris Sigalas (pictured below) confirmed, this is a strategic decision, which aims to further develop the estate by investing in the vineyard. Paris Sigalas will remain president of the Board of Directors and will retain his role in the vineyard and production. More details will follow the next days.

Sigalas Estate was founded in 1991 and in 1998 the winery was built at its current position. It is located in Baxedes, Oia and works with 37ha of vineyards both owned and with contracted producers. Depending on the vintage it produces 300.000 bottles.
