Vouni Panayia Experimental Morokanella ''Earth'' 2018
(Spontaneous fermentation, lees contact, high altitude vineyards in Paphos) The original version of Morokanela according to the winery. You can read the whole story in detail here. Pale lemon green. Perfumed yet discrete with lemon zest around a core of herbal aromas. Some thyme notes as well. Distinctive. Finely textured, almost silky with a very crisp finish and a sense of minerality from the limestone soils perhaps. A step above 2017 with a touch more ripeness but on a positive way.
